Under NO circumstances will any memorabilia be allowed. Security will check bags at the door. Please adhere to these rules as they are enforced to be equitable to all participants and to keep within the time allotted for the clinic. Donovan generously signed an item for all participants that will be provided at the conclusion of the event.

There are a limited number of spots available – so sign-up fast! Registration will close on June 4, 2010 or when all the spots are filled – whichever comes first. Check the website periodically for updates on how many spots are left.

The event will not be canceled due to inclement weather, but the format will be modified slightly.

Not to worry, no experience is necessary and the clinic is non-contact. You will receive personal instruction from pro football players and coaches at each station, and drills are designed to teach the basic fundamentals of football.

Registration is from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.   Participants should plan to arrive at the following designated times.

  • If your last name begins with the letters A thru M, you should arrive at 11:00 a.m.
  • If your last name begins with the letters N thru Z or you registered with an Organization, you should arrive at 11:30 a.m.

Please adhere to these guidelines. This procedure is in place so that we can get all participants registered and ready for the clinic in an organized and timely manner.

Participant pick up should be scheduled for between 4:45 and 5:00 p.m.

This event is not open to spectators to just come and watch. However, we do allow you to bring (1) one chaperone as part of your participation fee. Your chaperone’s name must be provided on the registration form and will be added to our guest list. Please note: Security will be very strict, and only pre-registered chaperones will be admitted into the clinic. If you need to change a registered chaperone’s name, you must contact us prior to June 12.

This is a non-contact skills clinic. No football equipment is necessary. You will receive a custom t-shirt to wear during the clinic. Suggested dress is comfortable gym clothes (i.e. t-shirts, shorts, running pants) and sneakers. Weather permitting, the clinic will be held outside, so sunscreen is advisable.

We strongly advise not bringing any personal items other than what you will need for the clinic. The Donovan McNabb Kids Football Clinic is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. If you do need to bring a bag, we strongly recommend that it is clearly marked with your name and contact information. No lockers will be provided so it shall be the sole responsibility of the participant to keep track of their personal items.

If you have any medical conditions that require any aid devices such as an inhaler or EpiPen, make sure to bring them. And make sure to alert our staff at registration of any pre-existing medical conditions.

We do not recommend bringing any personal items other than what you will use during the clinic. The less you bring the better!

If you registered online, please bring a copy of your registration confirmation. Otherwise, bring a copy of your completed registration form. If we have not received your waiver/release form in advance, your parent or guardian must be present during registration to fill one out.

A healthy snack will be provided before the clinic and plenty of hydration will be available throughout the day. However, we do encourage that you eat something before you come, as lunch will not be served until after the clinic during the Awards Party.

Security will be hired and present at the clinic and all participants and chaperones must be pre-registered before entering the clinic.

There will be Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) on-site at the clinic should anything happen. In the case of a minor injury, the on-staff medical personnel will render medical treatment. Your parent/guardian will be contacted regarding the extent of the injury.

When emergency medical care is needed, your parent/guardian or emergency contact person will be contacted immediately.  If your parent/guardian or emergency contact cannot be reached, a clinic staff member shall accompany you to a source of emergency care and shall remain with you until a parent/guardian or designee assumes responsibility for your care.  An accident report will be filled out to document the emergency.

The Donovan McNabb Kids Football Clinic and each of its respective parent organizations, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, agents, volunteers, employees, customers, purchasers and independent contractors are not responsible for any medical and dental expenses incurred as a result of the clinic. All participants must have personal medical insurance coverage and be able to show proof of insurance coverage if requested.

The Donovan McNabb Kids Football Clinic will teach you football fundamentals and valuable life skills! Non-contact drills are designed to teach the basics of every playing position such as throwing a spiral, catching a pass, running a precise route, ball carrying, two and three point stances, blocking, tackling, secondary coverage, punting and field goal kicking.

You will learn about the discipline, determination and dedication it takes to succeed on and off the field and Virtua Hospital will provide wellness education on how to play hard but still stay safe and healthy!

You will spend the day with a group of approximately 25 to 35 kids moving from station to station. On average, there will be 2-3 players/coaches at each station and 1-2 volunteers overseeing each group. These small groups allow us to maximize the time each player/coach can spend with each participant and really personalize the interaction.

In addition, event staff, Virtua staff, medical and security staff and additional volunteers will be on-site during the clinic.

Net proceeds from the Donovan McNabb Kids Football Clinic will benefit the Donovan McNabb Fund (DMF), who champions many children’s causes including the American Diabetes Association’s Donovan McNabb Diabetes Camp for Kids and is most recently helping to fund The McNabb Family Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Virtua Voorhees Hospital, scheduled to open in Spring 2011. For more information on the DMF, visit www.donovanmcnabb.com.
